Watch the snow covered hills
They stretch as far as you can see
A perfect blanket of white crystals
Like coconut frosting on a cake
But look closer. A flicker!
A shimmer of movement, did you see?
Something is darting across the land
Swiftly running yet always blending
Leaving no signs behind save one
Those tiny indents left in the snow
You can’t see him, no surprise
Even the Arctic winds howling across the plains
Can see little more then you
Even the mountains towering over all
Can catch little more then you
Even the deep snow itself
Can grasp nothing more then the steps
Of this alabaster hunter
He who is invisible
Save for his two golden eyes

Author's Comments

Been a while since I have done poetry. But I've been kinda stressed out lately, so I figured this would be good for me.

I'm not sure where my poems keep coming from. I write Halloween poems at Christmas, suicide poems when I'm happy and poems about Arctic foxes in spring.

I'm crazy aren't I?

Well enjoy.
